16th National Crime Prevention Week to be celebrated this September

The nation will celebrate the 16th National Crime Prevention Week (NCPW) from September 1 to 7.

Komunidad at Pulisya, Magkasama Tungo sa Pag-unlad ng Bayan!” had been chosen as this year’s theme with “Ako, Ikaw, Tayong Lahat Laban sa Krimen!” serving as its slogan.

All of the activities in the week-long celebration aim to generate community awareness and appreciation of the importance and value of crime prevention as well as to foster interest and participation of the general public.

NCPW was conceived by virtue of Proclamation No.461 of former President Fidel Ramos on August 31, 1994. (PIA 3)
