Dong distributes relief goods for flood victims of SF City

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO --- Some 800 families from Barangay San Felipe here recently benefited from the relief operation initiated by Pampanga Third District Rep. Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales, Jr.
Gonzales, assisted by barangay chairman Ariel “Buboy” Carreon, gave away packs of rice, instant noodles and canned goods to residents affected by the recent flooding in the city.
Carreon said all residents of the barangay were given relief goods, which were personally delivered by Gonzales on Saturday, at the height of tropical storm “Ondoy”.
San Felipe is one of the perennially flooded barangays of the city, lying along the banks of the heavily-silted San Fernando River.
Residents who availed of the relief goods had to wade through knee-deep flood in some areas.
Gonzales said the San Felipe activity was only one of his many relief operations being pursued for flood victims all throughout his district.
Recently, the solon brought food items to residents of Sta. Ana, Pampanga, who were also affected by recent typhoons.
