ANGELES CITY – Mayor Francis “Blueboy” Nepomuceno led the city’s celebration of the Medicince Week recently with the opening of the Photo and Poster Exhibit at the City Hall lobby on September 23.
Angeles City Medical Society (ACMS) President and City Health Officer Dr. Cheryl Tuazon said the promotion of healthy lifestyle is still basic of this year’s activities.
“The ACMS, in partnership with the City Government through the City Health Office lined up several activities such as Health Care Waste Management Seminar, Free Clinic with Cholesterol & FBS screening, Series of lectures on Healthy Lifestyle, Tree Planting, Tribute to ACMS Senior Physicians and Past-President, Blood Typing, Lecture on A-H1N! and Dengue, Philhealth Orientation and Updates, Mutya Ning ACMS 2009 among others,” Tuazon said.
The week-long activity involved doctors, as well as their partners from the allied health organizations.
Tuazon added that the celebration focused on four key areas that Philippine Medical Association (PMA) has been advocating, which are: Membership Benefits and Professional Development; Continuing Medical Education; Socio-Civic Activities and Advocacies; and Legislative & Political Agenda. MAC/CIO
